grained

18:00-21:30
Entry 8€/5€ students.

Finding a grain of reality in today's popular view of conflicts and taking it with a grain of salt, Cannons & Muses presents a collection of work that shows the grainy reality behind the polished image reflecting from the mass media. Graciously hosted by The Back Loft artists space, grained includes the work of local and international artists working in a variety of media, presenting a perspective on historical and current conflicts as they reflect from the art and media of their epoch.

At 21:00 C&M is proud to feature a screening of B-239, a film taking its name form one of the formerly unapproved Derry Donegal border roads and is an exploration of the border locale as both visible and concealed. Looping back and forth across the teritory, the soundtrack features extracts from participants narrations ranging from WW2, through the Troubles, and current views from young people of the area.

B-239 (subtitled) North-55 production Borderland public art project November 2009. Filming by Jac Productions.

Live Sound Meeting in C&M Network

The C&M Tokyo and Tel Aviv groups art taking part in the Tama Art University Festival.

The groups will try and create "no sound moment" in the performance.

Noisy sound is like Cannon. Harmony is like Muses.

No sound is a moment for us, how we start the next moment, big tension and very meaningful. We have to feel the others in this moment. Creating a sensitive and dynamic moment of acquaintance to establish a relationship.

Monday, 02.11.09 19:00-20:00 Tokyo time
12:00-13:00 Israel time
Tuesday, 03.11.09 15:30-16:30 Tokyo time
08:30-09:30 Israel time
